Congress Re-introduces BOSS Act To Protect Fans
On Thursday June 13th Representative Bill Pascrell (NJ-09) introduced a revamped version of his 2009 “BOSS ACT” along with his New Jersey House colleagues Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee Frank Pallone Jr. (NJ-06) and Rep. Albio Sires (NJ-08), and Senate co-sponsor Sen. Dick Blumenthal (CT). The introduction of 2019 Better Oversight of Secondary Sales and Accountability in Concert Ticketing, better known as the “BOSS ACT” coincided with last week’s FTC Online Event Tickets Workshop in Washington, DC and the release of Bruce Springsteen’s latest album, ‘Western Stars.’
StubHub welcomes legislation that will ensure fans can transact in a secure, transparent, and competitive ticket market. The re-introduction of the BOSS ACT is a great step in this effort.
Thank you to Representative Pascrell, Chairman Pallone, and Senator Blumenthal for their continued leadership on behalf of fans. We look forward to working collectively to put fans first and find solutions that increase safety, choice, and transparency in the market.
